Chile Verde Mexican Restaurant: Authentic Flavors and Vibrant Atmosphere in San Antonio

First time here, had been wanting to try it out since I moved to the area last year, so my neighbor & I decided to try it out yesterday, & let me tell you, it did not disappoint, the Horchata, the rice & the corn tortillas were on point, which says a lot about a Mexican restaurant, I ordered the Chile Tejano, which was very good & cheesy. My friend ordered a steak with enchiladas & really liked her steak. We will definitely return. The decor was very cute & festive.

This is an allaround good place, everyone was excited about the tasty food they had. Service was very good. Only thing that caught my eye is the restroom with only one toilet single stall. For a restaurant with occupancy of about 150 people.. Unless there was another rr somewhere I did not see. But it was surprisingly big and very well kept,with plenty of folks endothelial adult drinks and food. Very family oriented.

Went with family on a warm Saturday afternoon in December. Great overall experience. Drove a ways to get here per a friend’s recommendation as THE BEST FOOD IN TOWN. Right off of US Highway 87, parking was available, but on a busy day, it might be completely packed. When we went in for lunch, it wasn’t too packed. Waited for seating, and we were placed in a comfy leather booth. Paintings and bright vibrant colors filled the room. Service was kind and timely. The menu had variety and had accompanying pictures. Food was delicious and large in portions. Ordered Fajita Quesadillas for $14.99, Tejano Special for $9.99, and the Barbacoa Special for $11.50. Very affordable, and even more so with a 10% Military Discount. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a large meal in a nice atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing food and at such great prices! Lots of choices, even 3 different salsas with the chips. And the staff was very kind and great at their jobs.

First time coming here and the breakfast Tacos were good but I will be back for a dinner to try it out with my wife. Customer service was good and restaurant seems very well maintained. I will update review afterwards

I got the Nachos Compuesto and they were really good. Lots of cheese! The margaritas weren't my favorite. They were on the sweeter side.

I've always had good experience at Chile Verde, tried multiple dishes, one my favorites is Tortilla Soup and Enchiladas Suizas. Only, thing I dont like is the green and dark red salsa for chips, we prefer the red tomato salsa. I love the decor inside and the shows the selected for TVs. Kid friendly menu.

Had the chimichurri with seasoned beef. Also enjoyed happy hour margarita. Snack chips & salsa were also enjoyable. First time here and would cone again. I read a few chapters of my book, which meant a nice environment to be in.
